About Bugwood Video
BugwoodVideo is a grant-funded project that was started in 1994 by the University of Georgia’s Center for Invasive Species and Ecosystem Health. The website was launched in 2001 and has only grown and received much recognition since.
BugwoodVideo provides an easily accessible archive of high quality videos for use in educational applications.
The focus of BugwoodVideo is on species of economic concern. Videos cover invasive species, forestry, agriculture, integrated pest management, plants, insects, diseases, fungi, wildlife, fire and other natural resource issues. Videos are reviewed for content and quality.
In most cases, the videos found in this system were taken by and loaned to us by photographers other than ourselves. Most are in the realm of public sector videos. The photographs are in this system to be used!
We have strived to provide accurate and correct identifications, taxonomy and descriptions. However, we recognize that invariably errors will occur and urge you, the user, to be the final quality control option. If you locate errors, correct them on your materials and please notify us of them so that we can correct them in Bugwood Video as well.

We ask that you register and join Bugwood Video. There is no charge and you will gain access to additional features by joining. Since Bugwood Video is a grant-funded project, we must generate documentation to justify continued funding. If we can document sufficient usage by a variety of user groups, we believe that the funding agency will enable us to evolve Bugwood Video as an educational and service outreach at no cost to you.
