Gerald Holmes is the founding Director of the Strawberry Center at Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo. Gerald got his Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from UC Riverside and a B.Sc. in Agronomy from Cal Poly Pomona. He has spent his career as a researcher and extension specialist, both in academia and private industry. His work focuses on managing plant diseases in production agriculture.
